You shoul...Actually, Pete, Chris's advice is sound. You should mark off a route of approximately a mile and walk it, briskly. time yourself. The next day, try to shave just a few seconds off that time.

After about a week of this try to do some of the course involving a brief jog. Again, always time it, and try just taking a few seconds off.

By about the third week you should be able to jog more than half the course.

Build on it.

I know it works, I tried it nearly 20 years ago when someone challenged me to get fit for a 6k run. I've run 47 half marathons and 4 full marathons since.

Oh, and get some proper running shoes if you intend to do more than your mile... otherwise your knees will be well and truly knackered.

Anyway... I'm loving this saga, keep on running, as little Stevie used to sing for Spencer.Bob Piperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13792439016502695274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3172748.post-73316540576103039222008-02-20T23:03:00.000+00:002008-02-20T23:03:00.000+00:00Don't you think you should se a wrunning doctor?Wh...Don't you think you should se a wrunning doctor?
Why don't you just walk it ?Fenordinandohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04292590735912147223noreply@blogger.com
